Chip Conk

Edward “Chip” Conk, Chief Executive Officer

Chip Conk has a dynamic and central role in the company’s tremendous success and expansion. Prior to forming Montecito Residential, Chip was a founder in Montecito Property Company (MPC) and served as Chief Executive Officer. Under his direction MPC acquired and developed of over 5,500 apartment and condominium conversion units. In an 18 month period MPC acquired over $2 billion in residential multi-family communities throughout the US making MPC the country’s second fastest growing residential real estate company in the country. MPC made national news at the peak of the market when they sold out a community in Arizona for $90 million in just 90 minutes.

Chip began his business career in 1983 by founding Day Dream, Inc., while in college at the University of California at Santa Barbara. Together with his brother and sister, he grew Day Dream at an annual 35% growth rate. Day Dream developed proprietary software to project sales and manufacturing needs which resulted in their winning numerous retailer vendor awards for delivering the most profit per square foot.

Chip was honored as a finalist for the prestigious Entrepreneur of The Year award in 1987. Over a 14-year period Day Dream grew to become the largest publisher of calendars and posters in the world. When it was sold in 1997, Day Dream, Inc. employed over 600 people and had annual revenues in excess of $87 million.

Robert R. Neyland

Robert R. Neyland/ Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Neyland joined the company in October of 2002 bringing with him over 25 years of real estate experience. His extensive background in banking includes tenure as vice president of San Antonio’s Frost National Bank and executive vice president of Gill Savings where he oversaw the financing of hundreds of millions in multi-family and condominium conversion projects.

Bob is a seasoned developer and was responsible for all aspects of developing single family communities, luxury high rise apartments and commercial property in San Antonio, Austin, Dallas and Florida.

Mr. Neyland has leadership responsibilities for the evaluation, acquisition, financing and renovation of all acquisitions and development. Bob has played a key role in overseeing the creation of Montecito’s proprietary underwriting software used to evaluate potential real estate holdings. He graduated from The University of Texas in 1975 with a degree in accounting and received his Certified Public Accountant certificate in 1977.

Chris Conk

Chris Conk, Acquisitions / Principal

As one of Montecito's core team members, Chris oversees acquisitions for MMIC on the West Coast. Over the past ten years, he has been involved in the acquisition of more than 5,500 multi-family residential units and over 500,000 square feet of medical related real estate.

Mike Shannon, Acquisitions / Principal

After retiring from his dental practice in 2002, Mike joined Montecito as the first condo conversion was launched in Jacksonville, FL. Mike was responsible for overseeing renovation scope, budget and timeline. He established national vendors and streamlined the renovation process to drive bottom line profit and speed to market. Today Mike plays a central role in acquisitions, due diligence and corporate direction.

Jeff Johnson

Jeff Johnson, Executive Vice President

Jeff is responsible for Montecito's operations throughout the United States and brings with him over 20 years of experience.  Jeff has been with Montecito since 2005. Prior to his current role, Jeff supervised over $30 billion in renovation work to Montecito's west coast condominium conversion projects.  Realizing that the market was turning, Montecito employed Jeff's problem solving skills and extensive multi-family operational experience to continue to develop Montecito's core competency: property management.

David McNeil

David McNeil / Senior Vice President, Asset Management

David has over 40 years of diversified experience in commercial and residential real estate which includes management, leasing, development, construction and asset management. David provides asset management oversight to an ever expanding national medical office building portfolio. In addition to asset management services, Montecito benefits from David's broad knowledge of building systems, construction, engineering and tenant issues to provide head up the due diligence process on both the commercial and residential acquisitions.

Bill Norris

Bill Norris / Montecito Corporation, Vice President, Association Management

Bill brings with him over 7 years of experience in the real estate and association management industry and has recently joined Montecito Residential as Vice President of Association Management. Bill will oversee the growth of our association management operations in the Arizona market. In addition, he will work closely with our managers' ensuring that our commitment to customer service is consistently achieved. Bill's experience in association management includes on-site management of large scale luxury and commercial condominiums. He has also received the designation of "Certified Arizona Association Manager" (CAAM) from The Arizona Association of Community Managers (AACM), a professional organization dedicated to promoting a positive understanding of community associations and the contribution of retaining professional management services. Mr. Norris is also a licensed Real Estate Broker in the state of Arizona.

Doris Albay-Lacson

Doris Albay-Lacson/ Montecito Commercial Controller

Doris is the newest member of the Montecito team. She brings with her over 13 years of Commercial Property Management experience with firms such as Grubb and Ellis Realty Investors where she was the Controller, Triple Net Properties Realty and CB Richard Ellis. She holds a Real Estate license in California and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. In her spare time Doris is heavily involved in her local church's Youth Ministry .

Adam Eden

Adam Eden / Montecito Corporation Controller

Adam has been with Montecito since 2008. He has over 12 years of real estate accounting with firms such as Legacy Partners and the Remm Group. His eye for detail is key to the financial operations of the properties we manage.

Dominique Elhaj

Dominique Elhaj / Assistant Vice President of Administration

Dominique provides the backbone to our organization. She coordinates corporate initiatives with the site efforts and provides the instructional training to facilitate proper reporting. She has been with Montecito since 2005 and holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the University of Laverne California and a Real Estate License in the State of California.
